This beautifully located agriturismo offers farm holidays in Umbria. Set in the Collemancio di Cannara Perugia, in the gently rolling hills of Umbria, this apartment and BandB accommodation, Italy, lies about 500 metres above sea level, surrounded by the greenery of centuries-old olive groves and woods. From here there is a beautiful view over Assisi and Spello.
Collemancio is a pretty medieval ‘borgo’. Nearby is the archaeological site of the old Roman town of Urvinum Hortense.
The agriturismo has been based in two country houses, dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. It provides five rooms (with accommodation for guests with disabilities), three apartments and a restaurant, in which guests can taste dishes from the Umbrian kitchen.
Lodgings
The rooms all have private bathrooms and a TV. The colours range from yellow to navy and the furnishings are in a rustic style. Guests can stay either on a B&B basis or as half-board. The mini apartments sleep up to four guests.
The farm estate covers 45 hectares and there is a small lake/pond.
The farm raises organic produce and livestock, following a process followed by successive generations of the Angelucci family. The kitchen is in the Umbrian tradition. Pasta is hand-made and there are seasonal products provided by the farm: olive oil, wine, mushrooms, truffles, asparagus, fruit and vegetables, white and red meat, and game.
The restaurant has a pleasant and warm atmosphere: the room is of terracotta and wood and there is a large fireplace.
