Description
On the top of a hill commanding a view over the village of Manoppello, in the Abruzzo, rises the 18th century country house of Villa Pardi, noble residence devoted by the owners, Licio and Marilena Pardi, to the old and refined pleasure of country holidays. Guests are accomodated in bed-rooms recently restored and furnished in very good taste, with wrought iron beds and old or poor art piece of furnitures. All the rooms are provided with bath and air-conditioning, and enjoy a nice view over the typical landscape of Abruzzo hills.
Guests are able to spend nice times in the refined sitting-room, wrapped in the warm atmosphere of the private residence.
The kitchen propose typical dishes of the Abruzzo and Italy cookery tradition, using products for the greater part coming from our own farm. Breakfast includes delicious home made cakes, biscuits and jam. We also produce a very good wine, an extravergin olive oil d.o.p. and many different kind of jam.
The Villa is an ideal starting point for excursions, also by mountain-bike, in the colse National Parks, only at 15 km from the mountains and 30 from the sea. It is possible to have suggestive walks in the near natural reserves in the Orta and Orfento valleys, where Celestine monasteries rise. Not far there are beautiful examples of Benedectine and Cistercian architecture, and it is also possible to take organized trips in canoe or mountain-bike along many naturalistic routes.
